  • 2 cups rice
  • 2 cups water, hot
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cups condensed milk
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • some ice cubes
  • some shredded coconut, for the rim
  • some condensed milk, for the rim
  • cinnamon stick, for garnish

  • In a bowl, soak rice in warm water for at least 2 hours.
  • Transfer rice to a blender, add soaked rice water, cow’s milk, evaporated milk, condensed milk, water, vanilla essence, cinnamon, and coconut cream, and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve and pour into a pitcher with ice cubes.
  • Serve coconut horchata in a coconut-rimmed glass and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
