  • 2 cups rice
  • 3 cups water, hot
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 cup melon
  • some ice cubes
  • some melon, cut into triangles, for garnish
  • some cinnamon stick

  • In a bowl, soak rice in warm water for at least 2 hours.
  • Transfer rice to a blender, add soaked rice water, cow’s milk, evaporated milk, condensed milk, water, vanilla essence, sugar, cinnamon, and melon and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve and pour it into a pitcher with ice cubes.
  • Serve melon horchata in glasses. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a melon slice.
