Strawberry Horchata

A very traditional drink with a twist! Horchata is a classic, but when merged with strawberries it becomes an even more flavorful beverage. The combination of evaporated milk, condensed milk, vanilla essence, cinnamon powder, cow’s milk, and strawberries makes this the smoothest and creamiest drink you’ve ever had. Strawberry horchata is here to stay!

  • 2 cups rice
  • 3 cups water, hot
  • 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 1/2 cups condensed milk
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • some ice cubes
  • some strawberries, for garnish
  • 1 cinnamon stick, for garnish

  • In a bowl, soak rice in warm water for at least 2 hours.
  • In a blender, add soaked rice water, evaporated milk, cow’s milk, condensed milk, water, vanilla essence, sugar, cinnamon, and strawberries, and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve and pour into a pitcher with ice cubes.
  • Serve strawberry horchata in glasses. Garnish with cinnamon sticks and strawberries cut into halves.
