Uruguayan Chivito

  • In a hot skillet, heat oil. Meanwhile, season veal on both sides. Once skillet is very hot, cook steaks on both sides making sure they don’t dry out. Set aside. In the same skillet, cook deli ham quickly and set aside.
  • Cut ciabatta rolls in half and toast slightly. Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix mayonnaise, olives, and pickles. Spread mayonnaise on the toasted ciabatta halves.
  • Stack lettuce, tomato, veal, deli ham, Mozzarella cheese, egg, and olives on one toasted ciabatta half and place the crown on top. Serve Uruguayan chivito with French fries on the side.
