  • 1 chicken breast, cut into medium-thick strips
  • 1/4 cups wheat flour
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic
  • 1/2 cups green onion stalks, chopped
  • 2 cups button mushrooms, cut into fourths
  • 1/4 cups white wine, for flambéing
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper
  • parsley, finely chopped

  • In a bowl, place chicken and mix with flour, salt, pepper, and paprika until completely covered. Shake to remove excess dry ingredients.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, heat oil and fry chicken to form a crispy crust. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • Add butter and cook onion, garlic, green onion stalks, and mushrooms. Add chicken.
  • Add white wine at once for deglazing. Cook until reduced by half. Add fresh thyme and sour cream. Season with salt and pepper. Serve chicken stroganoff garnished with fresh parsley.
