Easy
  • For the Olivier salad: In a bowl, mix chicken, potatoes, carrots, peas, and mayonnaise and season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • For assembling the sandwich Yule log: On plastic wrap, arrange the slices of sandwich bread making a base and slightly flattening the edges onto each other with a rolling pin so that they stick together.
  • Place ham slices, cheese slices, and Olivier salad on top of the flattened sandwich bread slices. Roll up using plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • For the cream cheese dip: Mix cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and salt. Season with pepper. Refrigerate if needed.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut bell pepper into thin strips and roll up into a rose.
  • On a chopping board, cut 1/3 of the sandwich loaf in diagonal and arrange it to make it look like a log.
  • Frost sandwich yule log with cream cheese dip making lengthwise lines to create a bark-like texture. Garnish sandwich Yule log with the bell pepper rose and chervil.
