Banana Churros

  • 1 2/3 cups water
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 3 eggs
  • 6 bananas, cut into thirds and frozen
  • some vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/4 cups dulce de leche
  • 1/4 cups peanut butter
  • 1/4 cups hazelnut chocolate cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cinnamon powder
  • 1 liter whipped cream
  • some liquid chocolate

  • In a small pot, bring water to a boil and add flour, salt, and yeast at once. Mix until a dough that does not stick is formed.
  • Using a mixer, mix previous mixture until cool. Add eggs one by one and keep mixing until a soft dough is obtained. Place dough in a piping bag with a star nozzle. Set aside.
  • Insert a wooden skewer into the banana chunks. Pipe previous preparation around the bananas.
  • In a small pot, heat oil and fry churro-battered bananas. Remove once deep-fried. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
  • Remove wooden skewers and fill banana churros with dulce de leche, peanut butter, or hazelnut chocolate cream.
  • Serve banana churros with whipped cream and drizzled with melted chocolate.
