  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon rum

  • Preheat oven to 356 ºF. Grease a round pan or a bundt cake pan.
  • For the chocolate cake: In a bowl, combine cake mix and the ingredients listed on the back of the box. Pour batter in previously greased bundt cake pan.
  • For the flan: In a blender, combine evaporated milk, condensed milk, vanilla essence, and rum, and blend until smooth.
  • Pour blended mixture into the bundt cake pan little by little.
  • Cover with aluminum foil. Place on a water bath in a glass baking dish and cook for 1 to 1.5 hours.
  • Remove chocoflan from oven and let cool before unmolding.
