Easy
  • In a container, mix flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Add whole milk and eggs. Knead until all ingredients are perfectly incorporated. Add chopped chocolate.
  • Transfer mixture to a greased container and cover. Let dough rest for an hour until doubled in size. Punch dough down and roll out to 0.5-inch thickness and cut donuts. Let donuts rise for 15 more minutes until doubled in size.
  • For frying the donuts: In a pot over medium heat, heat plenty of vegetable oil. Dip donuts in hot oil and fry for about 5 minutes. Drain on a paper towel-lined plated to remove excess oil.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, fry bacon strips until golden brown. Let cool and cut into chunks.
  • For the frosting: Mix icing sugar and maple syrup until a semi-thick consistency is obtained.
  • Once cooled, frost donuts and sprinkle chunks of bacon and dark chocolate on top.
