Condensed Milk & Strawberry Gelatin

  • 4 cups water, hot
  • 1 envelope strawberry gelatin
  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin powder, hydrated and melted
  • 1 1/2 cups strawberries, rinsed and hulled
  • 2 cups condensed milk
  • 2 cups cow's milk
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 6 envelopes unflavored gelatin powder, hydrated and melted
  • some strawberries, for garnish 
  • some peppermint, for garnish

  • In a glass pitcher, dissolve gelatin powder with hot water. Add unflavored gelatin powder and mix thoroughly.
  • Pour a ladle of previous mixture into a 3.9-inch round mold and refrigerate until set.
  • Arrange hulled strawberries upside down on top of the set gelatin. Pour remaining strawberry gelatin and refrigerate until set. Unmold and set aside.
  • In a pot, heat milk, condensed milk, evaporated milk, and unflavored gelatin powder. Mix thoroughly until no lumps are left. Let cool at room temperature and do not let it set.
  • Pour 2 ladles of condensed milk gelatin into a 7.8-inch round mold. Refrigerate until set.
  • Place strawberry gelatin on top of condensed milk gelatin and pour remaining condensed milk gelatin over. Refrigerate until completely set.
  • Unmold condensed milk & strawberry gelatin. Garnish with a row of sliced strawberries around the bottom edge and top with strawberries and mint.
