  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 30 grams semisweet chocolate
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cups icing sugar, for the frosting
  • 2 tablespoons cow's milk, for the frosting

  • Preheat oven to 356 °F.
  • Cut pound cake into 0.5-inch-thick slices. Using a tree cookie cutter, cut two trees in each slice.
  • Combine raw sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Add sour cream and melted chocolate.
  • Add flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Grease a pound cake pan and pour half of the batter.
  • Arrange pound cake slices cut into trees in a line at the center.
  • Pour remaining batter on top.
  • Bake at 356 °F for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from oven. Let cool for 30 minutes. Unmold. Let cool completely on a rack.
  • For the glaze: Combine sifted icing sugar with milk. Once the pound cake is cold, pour glaze on top and garnish with rainbow sprinkles.
