  • Preheat oven to 347 °F.
  • In a pot, add sugar and heat over medium heat until caramel is obtained. Pour caramel on a flan pan while hot and reserve.
  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into the caramel-lined flan pan
  • Place flan pan in the oven on a water bath (inside a tray of boiling water). Make sure water does not get into the flan. Cover with aluminum foil to prevent browning.
  • Bake at 338 °F for about 45 minutes. Remove from the oven until you stick a knife on the flan and comes out clean. If you want to brown the flan, remove aluminum foil and let brown for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool. Refrigerate and unmold. Serve traditional Mexican flan cold.
