  • 2 packages cream cheese, for the flan
  • 1 can condensed milk, for the tres leches
  • 1 can evaporated milk, for the tres leches
  • 1 cup cow's milk, for the tres leches
  • 3/4 cups hazelnut chocolate cream, for the tres leches
  • cajeta, for garnish
  • pecans, chopped, for garnish
  • whipped cream, for garnish

  • Preheat the oven to 356 °F.
  • For the chocolate cake: In a bowl, mix dry ingredients and set aside.
  • In a mixer, mix butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and mix until fluffy. Add whipping cream and vanilla essence and mix.
  • Fold dry ingredients into the batter and set aside.
  • Using a mixer, whisk egg whites until doubled in size.
  • Gently fold whisked egg whites into the batter and mix until incorporated.
  • Line a previously greased mold with cajeta and pour in chocolate cake batter. Set aside.
  • For the flan: In a blender, combine evaporated milk, condensed milk, eggs, vanilla essence, and cream cheese.
  • Using a spoon, gently pour flan mixture over the chocolate cake batter to keep the layers from mixing.
  • Bake in a water bath for 50 minutes. Let cool.
  • For the tres leches: In a blender, combine evaporated milk, condensed milk, whole milk, and hazelnut chocolate cream and blend until smooth.
  • Using a fork, poke chocoflan and ladle tres leches over. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Unmold tres leches chocoflan and garnish with cajeta, pecans, and whipped cream.
