White Chocolate Dipped Gingerbread Cookies

  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons nutmeg

  • 3/4 cups butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoons raw sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cups molasses
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 3 cups white chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable shortening

  • Preheat oven to 356 ºF.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and spices, Mix thoroughly.
  • Cream butter with ½ cup of granulated and raw sugar.
  • Add egg, molasses, and vanilla essence. Mix until perfectly incorporated.
  • Add dry ingredients and mix until perfectly incorporated.
  • Cover cookie dough with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • On a floured surface, roll out cookie dough. Use a round cookie cutter to cut cookies. Transfer to a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of sugar on top of cookies.
  • Bake at 356 ºF for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Melt white chocolate in the microwave and add vegetable shortening.
  • Remove cookies from the oven and let cool.
  • Dip cookies in white chocolate covering only half of the cookie.
  • Use colored green and red chocolate to garnish white chocolate dipped gingerbread cookies.
