  • Peel and core apples.
  • Cut apples into eighths and transfer to a bowl with water and lime juice and drain.
  • Transfer apples to a pot. Add 2 cups of water, cover with a lid, and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Add sugar and cook for 10 more minutes.
  • Mash to a purée or grind using a blender or a food processor. Taste and add more sugar if necessary. Serve Thanksgiving applesauce.
