Classic Cranberry Sauce

An essential side dish for any Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner, cranberry sauce is great with turkey or ham. Its sweet and tart flavors make it ideal for the holidays and, best of all, it is really easy to prepare! You must only remember to prepare cranberry sauce 2 days in advance to let all its drool-worthy flavors develop.

  • 1 orange, large
  • 1 green apple, large
  • 3 cups cranberries
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 slices fresh ginger, finely grated

  • Peel orange. Cut into quarters. Remove seeds. Cut into smaller chunks.
  • Cut and core apples, without peeling. Cut into chunks.
  • Combine orange and apple chunks, cranberries, sugar, and ginger in a food processor.
  • Grind until finely chopped. Save cranberry sauce for 2 days before use.
