  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups prunes, pitted
  • some salt
  • some pepper

  • Heat butter in a pot and fry onion and garlic for 5 minutes.
  • Add white wine, chicken broth, and prunes. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes or until prunes rehydrate. Set aside.
  • Transfer all ingredients to a blender and blend for 5 minutes to a smooth sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve classic prune sauce in a gravy boat and spoon it over pork loin.
