  • In a deep bowl, add ground pork, egg little by little, a bit of breadcrumbs, and spices.
  • On a chopping board, finely chop parsley, onion, and garlic. Transfer chopped ingredients to the bowl and mix with a wooden spoon.
  • Using a scoop, scoop a bit of pork ground mixture to form evenly sized patties. Form a ball and flatten to 1.9-inch thickness. Patties will get thicker when baking them.
  • In a skillet or grill, heat a bit of vegetable oil and cook patties for about 5 minutes on each side.
  • Cut hamburger buns into half and spread mayonnaise, mustard, or the dressing of your choice on both bun heel and crown.
  • Stack each heel with patties the size of the bun. Adjust patties size if they are too large. Repeat with American cheese to keep it from peeping out.
  • Cut lettuce into chunks and stack krabby patties with lettuce and small-sized tomato slices.
  • Cut pickles into thin slices. Dip a toothpick in ketchup and draw eyes and a mouth on each pickle slice.
  • For funnier krabby patties, do not place the crown bun on top to show the pickles’ happy faces.
