Beet Tostadas

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 beet
  • 200 grams masa dough
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

  • In a small pot with salted water, cook beet for 20 minutes or until tender. Transfer beet to a blender and blend until smooth. Set aside and let cool.
  • In a bowl, combine masa dough, water, salt, and previous mixture. Mix until perfectly incorporated.
  • Form masa dough balls and roll out to shape them into 0.9-inch-thick tostadas. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake beet tostadas for 10 minutes at 356 °F.
  • Serve beet tostadas.
