  • Peel and cut potatoes into medium-sized chunks.
  • Place potatoes in a pot with plenty of water. Add salt. Once water comes to a boil, cook for 20 minutes or until potatoes are very soft. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat whipping cream, butter, nutmeg, and salt in a small pot for 8 minutes over low heat. Stir constantly with a whisk to keep cream from sticking to the bottom of the pot. Set aside.
  • In a bowl, mash cream cheese and potatoes while still hot with a potato masher. Pour hot whipping cream little by little and keep mixing. Little by little, the desired texture will be obtained. It is not mandatory to add all the liquid.
  • Serve copycat KFC mashed potatoes topped with gravy.
