  • 1 liter water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 3 cups broccoli, cut into medium-sized florets
  • 1/2 kilos beef tenderloin, cut into thin strips
  • 1/4 cups cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon raw sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chile flakes

  • In a small pot, heat water, salt, and baking soda over medium heat. Dip broccoli florets into the water and cook for 5 minutes. Remove broccoli florets and place in ice water. Drain.
  • In a bowl, combine beefsteak, cornstarch, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Cook ginger, onion, and garlic until translucent. Add beefsteak and cook until it turns color. Add soy sauce, raw sugar, and chile flakes.
  • Add broccoli florets and cook for 5 more minutes. Adjust seasoning and serve beef & broccoli stir-fry.
