  • In a pot, bring water to a boil. Once it simmers, add tomatoes and serrano chiles. Cook for 8 minutes over medium-low heat until the ingredients soften. Remove from heat and drain.
  • Transfer previous preparation to a blender. Add onion, garlic, chicken broth, and allspice berries and blend until completely incorporated.
  • In a saucepan with hot vegetable oil, pour blended tomato sauce, season with salt, and cook for 6 minutes over medium-low heat, stirring constantly. Set aside hot.
  • In a skillet with hot vegetable oil, fry tortillas on both sides for 45 seconds. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Stuff tortillas with shredded chicken.
  • Serve stuffed tortillas on a plate and spoon tomato sauce over. Garnish chicken entomatadas with sour cream, queso fresco, cilantro leaves, red onion, and avocado.
