  • For the flan mixture: In a pot heat Mexican chocolate with milk until chocolate melts. Combine with cream cheese, condensed milk, eggs, cornstarch, vanilla, and evaporated milk in a blender and blend until smooth. Set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 374 °F.
  • For the caramel: Heat sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Sugar will turn brown and liquid little by little. Do not stop stirring with a wooden spoon. Remove from heat once it is a thick and liquid caramel.
  • Grease a baking pan with butter. Pour hot caramel. Spread all over the pan. Pour flan mixture. Cover with aluminum foil. Cook on a water bath for 50 minutes over 374 ° F in the oven. Cool.
  • Unmold homemade Mexican chocolate flan. Garnish with shredded Mexican chocolate, obleas with cajeta, and mint leaves.
