  • 1 1/2 cups cocoa, for the frosting

  • Preheat oven to 356 °F.
  • In a bowl, sift flour, cocoa, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and sugar.
  • In another bowl, mix milk, vinegar, oil, and vanilla essence with a whisk. Little by little incorporate dry ingredients into the bowl. Add melted chocolate and chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into a previously greased and floured 7.8-inch cake pan. Bake for 50 minutes, remove from oven, and let cool.
  • For the frosting: In a mixer, cream margarine. Add icing sugar, vanilla essence, and cocoa. Beat until a soft and creamy frosting is formed.
  • Frost vegan chocolate cake. Garnish vegan chocolate cake with frozen raspberries, strawberries, and pistachios.
