  • In a skillet over medium heat, heat vegetable oil and cook garlic, serrano chile, and tomatillo for 8 minutes or until tomatillos soften. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil over medium-low heat. Once it comes to a simmer, remove from heat.
  • Transfer previous mixture to a blender. Add cilantro, cumin, salt, and pepper and blend until smooth.
  • In a pot, heat vegetable oil. Add onion and fry for 3 minutes. Add blended sauce and pork rinds and cook for 15 minutes over medium heat. Add precooked nopales and let cook for 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning.
  • Serve chicharrón & nopales in green sauce in a soup bowl garnished with cilantro and with beans and tortillas on the side.
