  • In a bowl, add flour and shred Mexican chocolate tablets with a grater. Add baking powder, sugar, salt, eggs, and clotted cream. Mix until perfectly incorporated.
  • In another bowl, place dough and cover with plastic wrap. Let sit for 20 minutes in the fridge.
  • Once the dough has sit, place it over a floured surface. Knead until an even ball is formed. Using a rolling pin, roll out dough to 0.1-inch-thickness. Cut 1.9-inch-thick gorditas with a round cutter. Flour round cutter to keep dough from sticking.
  • On a griddle, cook gorditas over medium heat for 5 minutes on each side. Serve Mexican chocolate gorditas de nata and pair with a cup of coffee or a cup of hot milk.
