  • Preheat oven to 392 °F.
  • Heat oil in a small pot over medium heat. Add butter, onion, and garlic, and cook for 5 minutes. Add flour and stir until golden brown. Add milk, table cream, Dijon mustard, and nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add elbow pasta with half of the cheeses. Cook for 5 minutes until thick. Transfer elbow pasta into a deep baking dish. Cover with remaining cheeses.
  • Bake for 10 minutes until cheeses broil.
  • Remove from the oven. Serve broiled mac and cheese.
