  • Peel shrimp. Remove shell, head, legs, etc. Make a butterfly cut and devein shrimp. Rinse under running water.
  • Cut garlic into semi-thick slices. Use 4 garlic cloves. If you want a less powerful flavor, remove the garlic germ.
  • Using scissors, trim chiles. Seed chiles and cut into strips.
  • Add oil or butter in a skillet over low heat. Sauté garlic until brown.
  • Add chiles and shrimp. Sprinkle with lime juice and season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat once shrimp change color.
  • Before removing from heat, squeeze a lime and season with salt and pepper.
  • Top with chopped parsley.
